Tampa, Florida – November 1, 2017 – Hyde Park Capital Advisors, LLC (“Hyde Park Capital”) is pleased to announce the recent sale of Data Transfer Solutions, LLC (“DTS”), a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management software and services, to SNC-Lavalin, through its subsidiary Atkins. Hyde Park Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor to DTS and its owners in connection with this transaction.
Founded in 2006, DTS specializes in building geospatial information systems (“GIS”) to create decision support applications and software. The Company’s flagship software, VUEWorks®, allows clients to proactively manage their physical infrastructure investments and assess failure risk in real-time through an industry leading, cloud-based platform. The company’s software enables state and local governments, utilities, corporations, schools, theme parks, and other organizations to track the condition, minimize failure risk, and optimize expenditures and service delivery of their physical assets.
Allen Ibaugh, DTS Co-Founder and CEO, stated: “DTS is excited to be part of the SNC-Lavalin team and we are looking forward to further expanding our footprint with the support of SNC-Lavalin’s experience and far-reaching capabilities. When this process started, we gave Hyde Park Capital a broad mandate to find an investment partner or strategic acquirer who would be a good cultural fit for DTS and would help us to better serve our customers. Hyde Park’s team guided us through the process, providing us with a number of high quality counterparties, and supported us through the transaction structuring, negotiation and due diligence. We are very pleased with the outcome and excited for the future of DTS.”
Jason Amadori, DTS Co-Founder and President, stated: “Given the overarching changes currently proliferating through infrastructure management, it was paramount for DTS to find the right partner to help the Company capitalize on the opportunities in the market. Hyde Park was involved through all facets of the deal, from positioning the Company for sale to the final stages of negotiation, ultimately helping our company find the right strategic partner. Their expertise in running a competitive process, knowledge of the market and accessibility were incomparable.”
Greg Bosl, Vice President at Hyde Park Capital, commented: “As investment banker for DTS, we worked closely with the management team to find a strategic partner that will support the company’s continued growth and passion for innovation. This acquisition provides SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins sector with best-in-class Enterprise Asset Management software and services, as well as an outstanding team. We are pleased to have represented DTS on the important transaction for its employees and shareholders.”
In addition to Hyde Park Capital serving as exclusive financial advisor, Corridor Legal Partners, LLP served as legal advisor to DTS and Greenberg Traurig P.A. served as legal advisor to the buyer.
