Hyde Park Capital interviews candidates each year for our investment banking analyst program. Analysts will be exposed to a broad range of transaction types (including mergers and acquisitions and private placements) focused on the following sectors: healthcare, technology, business services, financial services, and industrials. Additionally, analysts will receive extensive and in-depth training, participation on active deals and opportunities for career advancement.
A successful candidate will have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial investment banking environment. Analyst responsibilities will include financial modeling, company and industry research, valuation analysis, pitch preparation, and deal execution with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic; proven leadership skills; technical proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; effective writing and oral communication skills; and team-building and mentoring skills.

Hyde Park Capital offers full-time and part-time seasonal analyst positions in investment banking throughout the calendar year. Typically, these seasonal analyst programs follow the college semester schedule. For the successful candidate, we offer valuable experience and exposure to investment banking; an opportunity to assess whether the “career fit” is right; analyst training; future references; a professional culture; and an hourly rate of pay.
Seasonal programs typically run for a minimum of 8 weeks and maximum of 12 weeks. The hours are approximately 8:30am – 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Seasonal analysts will be teamed up with an analyst mentor and will have a variety of tasks and assignments. Analyst responsibilities will include assisting with marketing and business development efforts, conducting research assignments, preparing company profiles and information books, and producing marketing materials and pitch books. These analysts will gain exposure into the role of an investment banking analyst.
Qualified candidates must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, a desire to learn, and a positive attitude.
